Today, I want to take you back to my college days and share with you one of the most impactful photography projects I've ever undertaken.

My first solo photography project and I was buzzing with excitement. Inspired by my undying love for Greek mythology (seriously, I might need a Medusa intervention), I decided to delve into the stories of powerful yet often silenced women.

What struck me most was the recurring theme of assault in these ancient tales. It got me thinking: why do so many myths paint women as victims while letting their assailants off the hook? Cue the research rabbit hole, where I stumbled upon a gut-wrenching real-life story.

A young girl, bravely facing her assailant in court, forced to hold up her underwear for all to see. As if that wasn't enough, she was made to read aloud the text printed on them. Can you believe it? It actually made me feel sick, how could they do that to someone?

Sadly, this brave soul took her own life shortly after the trial. Her story haunted me, sparking a fire within me to create something meaningful in response. Thus, my photography project was born.

Featuring women in lace bodysuits and whatever else they darn well pleased to wear, the project was a blend of fashion and empowerment. The message was clear: no outfit, no matter how revealing, justifies assault.

Women should feel free to express themselves without fear of judgment or violence.

And there you have it, my friend! A glimpse into a project that ignited my passion for using art to speak out against injustice. Let's keep fighting the good fight together.
